IDK what ever they did...
My only question in all this is....
Why They?
Is it a multiple personality thing going on? Or is it about orientation being both?
What?
He's more relevant than Digital Homicide.
Heyooo!
This set them apart from the standard influencer for years because they actually had real connections to EA, Ubisoft and the rest of industry
Their website, the jimquisition contributed to MetaCritic .
But some of Jim's outspoken ideas led to major publishers and outlets blacklisting them from press releases, preview content and the general community.
Jim went from an industry insider with good info to any other YouTube pundit
A more rambunctious, out spoken version of himself.
But somewhere along the line, the character took control.
And he became like the journalists he used to laugh at for doing poorly at cuphead. Where he wants games faster and easier so they barely take any time to review.
Sterling reminds me of the rightwinger YouTuber named Razorfist. They were both funny and played a character, now it seems like they became the character. These two people are evidence why you should not make a YouTube channel about your grating persona and political grievances. Even if people agree with the opinions, it's still insufferable.
Both those YouTube commentators used to be interesting because they had unique opinions about the gaming world. But now it feels like I am watching Fox News and The Young Turks.
Then again, I wouldn't want to give up a nickname like "Jim ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Sterling, son" so easily.
Personally I used to watch Jim often but it became clear that, week in week out, the message was pretty much always the same, always leaning towards the negative, often not really talking of games that much. Personally it all became very predictable and to be honest boring.
I wish Jim well but the channel is dead to me.
