When she joined the podcast things were alright

Her and Gavin measured Jim's opinions.

But when Gav left, the entire podcast became less about games and fun, and more about real politics and the tone shifted from 'silly' to 'serious'

It became an echo chamber. All the old heads, like Total Biscuit, are gone, and no one was their to tell Jim any one thing was ridiculous.

Jim would often apologize on the cast for his behavior just a few years prior, and Laura would say "It's ok, you're better now, but forgiveness can be hard if it isn't earned"

It felt like she led every episode

They stopped doing content with Yahtzee . They stopped doing let's plays

What made the channel special unique and fun went away, and it was replaced by a person who is truly anger.

Not just at the world, but their audience and video games in general.

Spiteful and salty content are less for me.

I liked the cheeky Jim of the past, who had morals but still played in the mud a bit

I'm sure some people will disagree, and even enjoy the content more.

But I looked, and the podcast dropped in views about the same time I stopped listening

About 2/3rds smaller in fact.

And it hasn't recovered.
The jimquisition show has maintenaned a level of success, but the view counts should have been increasing.

They were going UP for years, now they are stuck.

Laura Kate dale is one of the primary reasons Jim's content became niche

I remember when Laura Kate threw TB under the bus after he had defended her and even batted for her in the past.

Then she got canned when Kotaku started reaping the effects of their rage-bait articles. It was a beautiful example of karma for doing what she did to someone who defended her while he was dying.

I won't lie, their cover on the whole Domina dev fiasco was amazing. The Dev got so triggered that Jim wasn't giving him attention, he tried to screech at Twitter citing Jim's account was "hacked and not under the owner's control".

Just to try to use Twitter support to bully Jim into actually replying to him.

Literally gave it up because they dont write traditional reviews anymore.
Didn't feel like playing the popular games anymore

Damn shame too, no one else had the guts to give BoTW a 7/10
