No I haven't even seen the first one and I don't understand the appeal.
It looks boring and pointlessly pretentious.
If I wanted to see a shallow and predictable adventure story then... I would search for a good action / adventure game and play it.
Also I would bet that the story of both God of war 2 and God of war 2018 is much better and more interesting than those movies too.

The first one was soooo bloody boring, my physics teacher made us watch the stupid thing.
The script was literally control C +Control V.
