why? well, the fighting never lasts long enough, and once everything is destroyed, the fun is over till you move to the next area.
but, since you don't know the level layouts, now you have to wander around till you find whatever switch or button or door you haven't gone through yet, just to get another tiny taste of action again.
i haven't played any of the post 2010 era versions of these games so don't come in all 'ermagherd doom by bethesda is so gun yaada yada blah blah'
i just think this 'style' of game is the most boring. ones that drip feed you action. hate that. throw me in the ocean man, i know how to swim.
