Where's are all the good games???
I spend more time looking for a game to play on steam than actually playing a game on steam. I think this comes down to the following three problems:

1) There aren't any good games on Steam
2) Steam's menu/UI for finding games is horrible (Would love to see more game categories, better search capability).
3) I'm too picky

Any one else find they sit for hours looking for a certain type/style of game but end up unsatisfied?

4) Get a hobby that you would enjoy more. Try knitting.

Knitting? Really?

Of the few thousand of games that you can choose from Steam, you only have 14 of them and are having problems finding a game to play? It's time for you to choose another hobby.

First of all, learn English. Secondly, who tells someone to choose another hobby? It's time for you to choose to kill yourself.

OP Out
And you're telling someone to kill themself? It's time for you to choose to get a life.
It's time for everyone to chill out. Try laughing - it helps.
Its called Counter-Strike, Half-Life, Team Fortress 2, Arma 2 and 3, Torchlight, and Garrys Mod
and Left 4 Dead 1 and 2
They other day I found myself thinking to my self that steam seems to have a LOT of indie games, a lot of what i would call cheap crappy games, a lot of early release games and a lot of games under $10. Steam has a huge catalog, and it can be hard to find a good game.

With so many steam sales, I often find myself buying games that I later find I just dont like, but every now and then i find a good gem. I recently found splinter cell blacklist on sale and found myself enjoying it. Before that it was Metro last light and before that it was tomb raider.

Gaming isn't a cheap hobby, and some times you find yourself spending money on crap games. But I'm glad that steam gives me such a large selection of games to choose from and will continue to use steam.
Define good game(s).

+1 for knitting.
Steam has a lot of good games (I've bought 24 games here, they probably averaged around $20, and I have 3 free ones from here).
Origin has some good games (I got BF4 and Titanfall there), and they weren't cheap.
Uplay has a few good games (I got Assissins Creed IV there), not cheap either.
You are not limited to buying from Steam any more than you are from Walmart. If you want the best in designer jeans, don't go to Walmart, and be prepared to pay top dollar for them.
If Steam had all the best games and little or no competition, they wouldn't have any reason to work hard to improve Steam.
I am glad there are people like UTAME, who just say what they think, and want Steam to be the best and have all the best and newest games, but it might not be the best thing for the gaming community.
I don't think you should take up knitting UTAME, and I appreciate your input.

Don't knock it until you tried it.
LOL, I'm not knocking it, and I have tried it. I'm just no good at knitting.
I'm no good at some games either, like Titanfall. Called for my Titan last night, ran away from people shooting at me, got lost, finally found my Titan burning, and got in just as it exploded.
Sometimes these new and expensive games are not as fun as they look.

maybe try some coop games. playing with friends is always fun, even if the game sucks.

Or you'll just end up hating each other.
Well there are so many games on Steam, so there has to be some bad ones. Personally I have no desire to play a vast majority of the games on Steam.
But there certainly are some good ones there.
