Do killing in self-defense is a sin?

If you kill a aggresive sociopath who wanted to kill or kill you family, does it count as sin or not? I think not, since you didnt had other choice

Sounds like it means an accidental death.

To expand on my views and to keep it short.. (I know how this sounds but still)

I was told in a.. dream, by whom you would call God, that everyone would soon hate me if I chose to help Him. And I chose to help Him. I also accepted to be a father when He asked.. which is why I was devoted..

Anyway I couldn't figure out why everyone would hate me. And just when I had almost discounted and forgotten the dream, I accidentally took a life in self defence. I came to the aid of a friend who was being viciously beaten, then I was attacked.

And while going through the justice system I understood what He meant. As pretty much everyone hated me. But I remembered what He told me and things worked out.

So for me, and as crazy as that all sounds, I know God doesn't think of that as a sin. Because He was the one who delivered a man into my hand, so to speak.

I guess the question is if it was needed to kill the other person to defend Yourself.

Else i wouldn´t worry too much about sins, as all You need to do to negate them is going into the next church and talk about them - to then do like 3 prayers. Because they aren´t allowed to sell these letters any more, which negate the sins. This is now a thing only a constitutional state can do to represent the science of justice, which is always objective in is judgement.
