Desktop mouse cursor in games Question

I play some games where the pointer in game is the same as my default mouse pointer on my desktop, now I also play other games where the game already has a default mouse cursor and sometimes this cursors suck. Is there anyway that I can change that cursor to my default mouse cursor? The game doesn't have any settings to change it so I was wondering if there was like a change that could be done to the ini files or something?

Most of the time the pointer the game uses is hard coded into the games code that it's hard or impossible to change. I seen a pointer in game that i really liked and i found no way to extract it to use in windows.
