Massage from girlfriend
Do you think it's ok to ask your girlfriend to give you massage? I mean, I wasn't in relationship, but I think it's actually fine to ask, maybe even important in relationship

Massage, not message :steambored:

Sure why not, I get massages from my other half, and I do the same for her. If you're in a relationship then it's a relationship and if it's a serious one then you should know and understand them enough to not have to worry about what they do or do not like, since you should already know.

(You were listening to her right? ;-))
I've seen some people do this, its more of a destressing thing tho from what I've noticed more then anything else, its not directly asking for a massage, its more of "i've had a stressful day and want someone to relax with, not alone." situation, I could be wrong but its just from what I've seen.

Kind of disturbing that you'd come to OT for unironic relationship advice. You know the kinds of people we are, right?

You don´t need a relationship to ask that.

If it´s important to ask in a relationship i don´t know. I´ve heard it can harm the relationship if You ask for it every day - and said girlfriend soon gets tired after half an hour, and wouldn´t keep on doing it, even if it would be good for her as well, as kind of sports program. And when she asked "Is it better now?" and You say "No - not really. I think You would need to do it some more, my back is really tense..." she would stop anyway after a certain point, and would probably be annoyed...
Actually I see uh, the part of the information I missed, girlfriend but not in a relationship, maybe were all over thinking this, are we talking friendzone relationship? In that case I'd think that'd be like asking a friend for a massage which is a bit different then asking one your in a relationship with.

It's fine, as long as you return the favour and don't treat your girlfriend like a slave. Usually I never ask as I'd want my wife to rest but she offers as she knows when I get sore from gym or everyday chores/work. I always return the favour though as ladies love getting massages. :hp_kyanna:

Although I will say, girlfriends give the best massages.
Boyfriends, too.

Even if they don't know what they're doing it can still be very sensual.

I suppose if the relationship was going well enough I'd ask for it - wouldn't want a sensual one though - I'd want one to help with the back pain.

Wouldn't it be better to go see a professional then? Don't most couples massage each other just to relax and strengthen their bond?

Costs money I'd rather use for other equally important things.

Hell if I know.

Massage is like kissing; it’s an artform not everyone has mastered.
Kissing with your hands :kae:

But I don't think it has to be an artform. I'd much rather get a massage from a boyfriend whos average at it than a professional whos a master.

I guess I'm old, but I remembered the series Friends, when Monica did a "magic" massage to Chandler xD Of course, it's normal in a relationship to massage each other. The main thing is a common desire, as well as pleasure. And do not harm each other's health.
