Why are so many people on Reddit cringe?
Like it really needs to be studied it curls my toes. Majority on that website is so condescending and thinks they are right about everything. I would go to say they are eve worse then furries.

This forum is the most normal forum I’ve come across and THATS saying a lot haha 😂

iirc they once did a survey on the demographics of the reddit user base, and they found the vast majority of its users were teenagers. So there's your answer.

Because the karma system makes it an echo chamber where people are scared of saying what they really think, so it results in a loud minority of people holding the same opinion and that makes them think they're way more popular than they actually are. They have deluded themselves.

The difference is that subreddit moderators can mold their community the way they want and enforce an echochamber. Letting bad ideas perpetuate without being refuted or challenge.
At least on platforms like X, as soon as someone says something wrong people are going to pile onto the replies and explain how. Or worse, get community noted.

jester award = karma system, i've stopped talking trash about games that are buggy and unplayable because one person gives me a jester award and then everyone thinks that everything that i type is BS

its worse when some subreddits only allow users with positive karmas to comment which trains that fakeness

Lol, That was fun doing that on X. That's why left camp politics left to Bluesky or worse Steam.

The people at Reddit may be lefties however Reddit's moderation is anything but leftist. That's why Steam is the only website for left camp politics narrative. There's a big difference.

But right-wing propaganda was getting dumped here for half a decade, and complaining or doing anything but playing along and tolerating the insults of BELIGERENT GOVERNMENT AGENTS got you banned.

meanwhile if you posted a pig picture you got banned.

seems fair right; who would ever get mad?
