Much like everything else when it comes to humans.
It's an assumption that the bible damns homosexuals.
The little facts known about the history figure, known as Jesus, recorded in multiple records outside of the bible (some for and others even against his teachings) mention he had once hanged out with a hooker and another time with a homosexual. Never casted them out at all. Yet even that might be another assumption.
The Bible actually says nothing about 'homosexuality' and sexual orientation was not even understood during the biblical times. The Bible is however in another language and been roughly translated multiple times.
For example: Leviticus 18:22 (is one of the most assumed anti-homosexual statements)
Hebrew: w’eth-zäkhār lö’ tiškav miškevē ‘iššâ
Literal Translation: With (a) male you shall not lie (the) lyings of a woman. (An) abomination is that.[2]
NRSV Translation: You shall not lie with a male as with a woman, it is an abomination.
If you understand Hebrew, it's actually lost in translation, could mean multiple different things and a human assumption of it's real meaning. It could rather mean not to rape, lie or cheat upon, etc.
Most believe attraction, thoughts and acting upon lust are all different things too. So not to act upon your lust if the other doesn't want it.
It's much like how the definition of "woke" changes depending on who you ask...
For example: To be "woke" in the Black community originally meant that someone is well informed, educated and conscious of social injustice and racial inequality. So to be against being woke is actually to dumb yourself down and become numb to considering something as the norm, rather than questioning it. People too stuck in their dumb down ways.
Dude, I read Hebrew. Mishkav is literally 'the act of laying down', and is a common Biblical euphemism for sex.
I'm not Christian or Jewish but I know the original texts pretty well. And you do know we have very old copies of these books, well before they were compiled into Biblical form, right?
You're correct that translations are a problem, but the problem is the translators, not the language. You can read these texts in their original form if you're willing to learn Hebrew and Greek.

I was merely just pointing out. I'm no good at translating Hebrew myself but I at least know some words won't match up to English and can easily be translated wrong along the way. Agreed, that the problem is the translators. If I did that myself, it would be a complete mess, specially doing an entire bible.
I was trying to wrap the topic back to "Woke" as well, giving a comparison. People might get upset that I had even questioned the possibility of that.
I love hearing that saying, because only the opposite happens. These companies do the number crunching, and the new diversity across industries is actually increasing sales. That's why everyone's jumping on the bandwagon. Do these "go woke, go broke" idiots actually think these companies are volunteering to take a hit? It's wishful thinking at its most pathetic.
And even for the few companies that are not seeing increases, they're jumping on the bandwagon too out of fear that they'll be branded as non-progressive, at which point, yes, they would certainly lose customers and lose money.
There are more non-white people out there than white people (and racist white people especially are a tiny minority), so I don't see why folks don't understand how this works. It's like all your good sense, all of your common sense, just drained out of you in your state of desperation.
"Oh no, we're becoming irrelevant! We're losing power! Quick, deny everything!"
I mean, why are they surprised? "Diversity" is an inevitability. Did they think they'd somehow sustain whiteness? Whiteness itself is unsustainable. I, as a mutt with mostly genes from my black father, am classified by the world as black. Despite the white ancestry in my genes, the world (and especially white folks) will never classify me as white.
Do you see where whiteness then is made weak? It takes in less members than every other racial classification. Of course it'll die out eventually.

People often blame the Covid virus for the high inflation, but the virus didn't cause companies to close down. That was the government and in America it's the government that's been invaded by the woke ideology.
Remember the pro-Covid government/woke crowd at the time was pushing the idea that you'd be protected by Covid if you simply protest in BLM marches. Not only is that anti-science, but people can clearly see the political agenda. All those companies that went out of business or that lost money during the pandemic...that's because of woke ideologies that ignored the science in favor of "feelings"
I have no sympathy for businesses that support woke ideologies that didn't make it through the pandemic because the government which they voted for, put them out of business.
And it's worth noting that inflation right now is SOOO high...that all companies are seeing the toxic consequences of going woke. People would be buying more Steam video games if the right-wing/free market ideas had won through.
Now with Steam I know that they for a long time has an anti-conservative bias on their platform as do most big tech platforms...imagine if they had been the opposite and been anti-liberal could they have swung the politics just enough that we wouldn't have supported woke ideas of ways to protect us from the virus?
north american inflation is planned at about 1%/year but well... those pesky chinese and their pandemic...
