Whats your opinion on Windows 10 vs. Windows 11?

Support for Windows 10 will end October 14th, 2025. This has caused outrage and concerns. This action is Microsoft mass forcing users to move to Windows 11 by this date.

Many opinions of 11 is that its nearly worse in every imaginable way. Its much more simplistic, and has removed a lot of features. Privacy settings have been reduced further as well.

My pc came with 11 and I don't have any complaints. It's just an OS, it does its job and works for what I need it to do. I'm not one of those people that are super picky about OS stuff, if it works and let's me do what I want to do without hassle then it's good enough.

There's only 1 game I know of that's actually affected and unplayable on it, but it's an older game so compatibility issues were already expected with it anyways.

Win 10 works, so i don´t know why to upgrade. Also my system shows "doesn´t meet the requirements for Win11" whatever that means. And then there´s the rule: Never change a running system. And: support ends doesn´t mean that the OS stops working.

I will think about it again around October 14th, 2025 - if my PC doesn´t break till then. But else it´s the same with every windows version, do it was clear that it was coming sooner or later. And then some day there will be Win 12, and 13... If nothing dramatically changes.

7 is unsafe to use anymore, and soon 10 will be too. I am seriously thinking about becoming a Linux user. Microsoft has fallen to the Apple level now.

11 is a data stealer like google now. It forces you to make a microsoft account and theres less options to opt out of privacy matters now.

I have to make a Microsoft account anyways thanks to minecraft, so that part wasn't ever an issue or annoyance.

As for the data part, ok I guess? I'll be honest and say I have yet to understand why people care that much, if it doesn't affect my user experience why should I give a crap. If Microsoft wants to see me research video game walkthroughs all day then that's their problem.
