Its hard to predict things precisely and know all the results after, and even so, everyone has only limited number of days left. I believe, that no matter what, there is more to gain in trying to make it to be the best for oneself rather than kept on worrying and being gloomy about the day ahead.

What do you mean by "certain doom", you know you're going to get an accident (head on with a semi) or the world has come to an end?
