Games for a low-end computer
Hey guys. I have kind of just started to get into PC gaming and have a very crappy gaming PC. I do plan on getting a better one when I feel comfortable with it. But for now I was wondering what good games are there for a not very good gaming PC? To put it in perspective, my PC has been able to run Hotline, Terraria, and Issac with no hitch. Can't play games like Grimrock, Company of Heroes, and most newer 3D games.

@Gooddog, you should be able to find ways to run your older games. Just do a google search on how to remedy the situation and one can usually be found.

I'd break into the older FPS, the unreal series was just on sale and your computer could proably play all of them except maybe the newest. Deus EX, Chaser, Max Payne 1 and 2, Steam has a great lybrary of games that were at one time the "sought-after" titles, most of them are still very good. And they'd keep you mouse shooting skills sharp if you switch over to the latest twitch shooter. Left out the original Call of Duties 1 and 2, medal of honor (the first one), Return to Castle Wolfenstein (a personal favorite,) Enemy Territory is not on steam but is free and still has a lot of players on-line....
The orginal Dawn of Wars RTS games would probably play on a system that wasn't very up to date or slow by todays standards as well...

The demo for Quake 2 is the actual game but without most of its files so you could play it with some friends or join some servers (tastyspleen.net has a good list of Active servers) and it would auto download the maps and files your missing so you can play as if its the normal game
