Rotisserie
Please share your thoughts and experiences with rotisserie. What is a good rotisserie oven? What tips are useful for setting one up? What are the hazards, etc? Thanks

I don't use one, I do not eat such huge quantities of meat, that would make it worth getting one and if I would get some rotisserie system, it would be for my BBQ grill.
You can basically achieve this by turning it with your hands from time to time

If you mean a smaller countertop rotisserie, I'm not sure they're really any more effective than a convection oven. I think the idea is that some of the juices will sort of auto-baste the item as they cook out, but that only goes so far as they will still drip into the pan below.

If you mean outdoors for a whole pig or something, it's a lot of work, and you're likely to have some under-cooked spots. (But where else are you going to cook a whole pig?) If you're cooking something small, the rig would just save you from having to hold a stick or tongs yourself, for whatever that's worth.

If it has instructions to preheat it... ignore that. Cus getting a raw chicken into a preheated oven sized for home use is a PITA.
