why would a mental health issue being treated cause problems to your mom for being a nurse?

if anything the lack of treatment would put her ethics when it comes to medicine into question

Think about it. A nurse's job is to take care of patients, both of suffering physical and mental problems. That would be a job lost and reputation tarnished.

I have seen how she behaves when I have breakdowns.

"How are we going to explain that you hurt yourself!?"

"Don't say anything to them. There will be trouble."

The panic in her actions and eyes says a lot. When I have calmed down she doesn't dare to step out and leave until an hour later.
She told me of a time when I lived in my previous apartment there was an instance when she left my apartment and saw a boy standing in front of an open door, he was one of my neighbors. She asked if everything was alright and the boy just ran off. It was like the neighbors were listening. Listening what was happening inside my apartment.

okay no something's very wrong with her, very very wrong, because that's just psychological abuse and manipulation
when someone's having a breakdown, you do not make it about yourself— if anything she should probably know that as a nurse, and if anything could get her fired it would be this kind of behavior and refusal to let you get help, but then again even doctors neglect this sometimes
