Why do you think so many things in society have been enshittified?
Somewhere between 2013-2015 was when I think things started to go south. Media has become formulaic, politics are laughably corrupt (although that's been an issue since the 60's), and since Covid everything has felt so lifeless. I guess that's the best way to put it. Many people's personality and social skills took a hit as well, myself included.

It's not to say things are hopeless, but they're not looking great. Especially with the potential threat of AI looming ahead, which could either make or break the economy. What are your thoughts?

Patrigo arct made it illegal to disagree with the government.
NDAA 2011 made it so you can be arrested and made to vanish without right to trial.

Corporations are not people
Trickle down economics is choking out the middle class.

This all started around Reagan, after he got shot he had a box on his back to the puppet masters, the banks of the federal reserve.

Not sure but was Carter the last president to warn us about the military industrial complex when he left office? Probably a clue.

Tax reforms to encourage corporations to invest in themselves and their people again. Trickle up economics. Separation of corporation and state.. corporations are not people, PACs and Super PACs need to be stopped making laws by and for the corporation and dumping the cost on the middle class.

i think most institutions brainwash people into thinking "positively" about itself, ie you go to school and you are told you live in the best country (mind you every country does it ) and once you finish school and start educating yourself often it comes to as a realization that maybe there were better times, when in fact perhaps it was just the environment desperetaly trying to indoctrinate itself like its all ok, or you got a sense it was ok since all your life was surrounded in that environment, like kinda a hockey tream, perhaps most hocket teams impress the, selves as the best team regardless of what outside table is, and perhaps it not matters even if its good or bad as most people dont care about hockey at all.

Lots of presidents did it as well after that. But I think Carter was the last one.
