but that techincally makes their money even more wor. . eh whatever. . . >.<*
I haven't forgotten how many DLC's i put into TS4 or other games, i always make sure to do my research and it comes up to be boon. i put over 14.3k hours into TS4 over the years, adding all that together, it comes up to pennies to the hour. That's extremely cheap in the long run and something well worth the price for what i got out of it.
Most games don't last beyond 60-90 hours these days, especially big adventure-action games. The hours put in (come up to >$/£ 0.50 p/hr) and the quality of it must be worth more than what you pay for.
I thought you said 1.43k hours, but 14.3k? Geezus... thats more than my entire steam games playhour
As somebody else said, though.. it's only a matter of time till your run of the mill triple-a trash will demand a 100 monies by default.
Maybe not if it was priced like this.

As each mile stone is passed, the question gets answered... YES, we are willing to folk out more money for a game and as for 'would you pay $100 for a game' the answer will be YES we are willing, if history is anything to go by.
Yeah, but I was pretty much a baby for the first two you listed, so those don't count as far as I'm concerned. It's my turn to have this conversation.
If you look it a different way bearing in mind the time frame (30 years), wage rises, costs of living, inflation etc.... the cost of purchasing games has actually gotten cheaper over the last 30 years.
Back in the mid too late 90's, games were costing around £25 - £35 (uk pounds), fast forward 30 years and games in the UK are costing what £50+ standard, a £20+ increase while wages have increased 3 or maybe 4 times over this time period.
PS... im a rush to write this because im off back to work, so not done the maths but you get my point.
Recently, the max i paid for a PC game was for Diablo 2 Resurrected, and it was $13.
Now, Greedy® Game Studios check us if we "may" give (i mean "robbed") $100 for a single game???
It will never happen in my case. I am yet to give $40 for a single game, let alone $60.
