Would You Pay $100 For Triple A Games? (As a standard price)
People seem alright paying $70. The logic used to defend said price point is that "this was inevitable". A blanket phrase commonly used. I am very curious what most of you are willing to pay. It looks more and more like the direction we're heading.

I would for GTA 6... but I can't really think of any other games I'd pay $100 for

That's the only exception. But I've got a feeling GTA 6 might turn out to be a woke game with female main character.

If you start to pay $100 for a single game tomorrow, you will be asked to give $10000 for a single GPU before you know it.

Then, same games will increase to $500 while you discuss it on forums.

So;

the Answer should be: "You shouldn't even be dreaming about it".

I would but then I would leave a negative review saying that I have been conned and that the developers are greedy capitalist fat cats and I won't ever buy anything from them again.

Eventually everyone will... if they want to or not....

That's called "progress" and "inflation"... the price will always go up.

You're not wrong. But the intention behind my thread is more along the lines of something a bit more rapid.

Think of the question this way: Is gaming becoming more and more a wealthy persons' hobby?

So long as there are alternatives to overpriced AAA games, it's not.

As in boxed with some nick nacks in maybe, as in standard level affair with no extra thrills outside pre order goodies nah i wait for a sale.

Depends. Certain games, I would. Rarely, though, and I would have to be 100% certain it was something I wanted.

Life is becoming a wealthy person's hobby... it's no more then anything else that costs more every year..

Every hobby goes up in price every year... every~thing~ goes up in price every year... what makes anyone think that people will just stop because "it's too expensive"?

Movie prices go up, cable t.v. prices go up... people still purchase them..
