Will cable TV die by 2030?
We heard recently that Disney is planning to shutdown many of its cable channels in Brazil by 2024. At this point only sports channels will remain. Warner Bros has split in two: one company for cable channels and the other for studios and the streaming service Max. This smells like Warner wanting to get rid of cable.

depend quality of satelite

but mostly problem with cable you cant chose your tv program and when to watch, so because that they are outclassed by netflix and other streaming

but problem with streaming, they compete against each other and people dont have $$$ to pay 10 streaming service

People still watch TV?

I still have cable TV, that was included with my fiber optic internet plan

Cable TV died for me about 10 to 15 years ago.

Too much propaganda and commercials while 250 channels and nothing on.

It's getting harder to own stuff as well. Amazon selling anime but only if you have prime and you can only view it as long as you have prime. Lock in service mentality that makes you pay for what you already own. Cable stations did that years ago. TCM would let you record movies to watch later but get rid of your TCM subscription and they become unreadable files. Watch later but you gotta keep paying all the time. No thanks I can get my copy of Bogarts African Queen somewhere else. Give me a break, seriously.

edit changed TBS to TCM Turner Classic Movies

Might be cheaper without it. Did you ask?

I got cable internet and phone, no cable TV.

I watch DirectTV and as much as I to see it go, it's not gonna make it to 2030.
I think I'm the only one in my town that doesn't stream.

In my neighborhood, cable TV died back in 2008. None of my neighbors have cable. And all the kids don't even know what cable TV is.

I ditched cable earlier this year, when my electric utility expanded fiber optics to our area.
I now have at least triple the programs available, via streaming, for about 40% less per month.
So I guess cable is dead for me.
