How old/young a person is doesn't really mean much. Both groups have different experiences that shape what they look for in a game. Neither is more or less valid than the other.
One side is more used to games being short, simple, and lacking much depth and the other are used to games having more spectacle and story to them.
But if I HAD to pick, I guess gen y since they're closer to my age.
Nono, that's not how that works. At all.
Speculation is totally fine, but if you still remain unsure after enough speculation, buy the game on a sale and use Steam Wiki for check for when it goes on sale. --The idea being that you will spend less money on something you are unsure of.
That way, if you don't enjoy the experience, you at least didn't spend a lot of money for it.
Think for yourself people. It's greatly beneficial to learn to do so.
