Our Cat is missing

We have a fat cute tabby cat named, Yami, but he ran away one day chasing a squirrel. We assumed he ran so far away that he probably got lost. He is very friendly, probably approached other people’s house and got picked up because he’s very unique pretty cat

Yes, we forwarded the information all animal shelters in 60 mile radius, to many websites as possible like Pawboost and apps like Next Door Neighboor app for local community to be aware


It has been almost 2 months but I need your help guys

My question is

I told my wife that this neighborhood is full of old people. I assume they easily take pets in and not aware of social media

I am trying to convince her that I know it’s illegal to put a color missing flyers inside people’s mailboxes


But I said why not slide the flyers inside the red flag outside of the mailbox. It’s quicker, faster and less annoying for our neighbor

Is it safe. Is it legal loophole for us to do this? We have a feeling that he’s in one of these houses the entire life.

I don’t know what the rules are in other countries or cultures but this only applies here in United States

if your cat is still out there, it might be a good idea to leave some cat food outside, that is ofcourse if it is safe to do so, idk if you may live in a place with tons of predatory animals he might come by one night.

on the off chance that your cat really did get catnapped, i'd say ♥♥♥♥ the laws, put missing flyers in the mailboxes and knock on some doors, ask around like a P.I. it is your cat after all.
