Oh, boy. A rant about IGN.

I hate the big-time reviewers, such as IGN. In fact, just one actually killed them all for me, and I only ever trust Steam Reviews, because the majority of people on Steam who review the game actually give a damn about it.

The game: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers Of Sky. (PMDEoS)

My reason for even checking the review: Because I wanted to see if IGN was as bad as everyone sad it was.

It's my personal grand #1 favorite game, tied with Yoshi's Island.

When I went there, I noticied immediately that IGN rated the game 4.9 While the community has almost doubled the rating in their view, over 300 of them. I lost my hopes already.

The guy who reviewed screwed up on a ton of ♥♥♥♥, and absolutely ignoring certain parts of the game. (such as Spinda's Cafe. The reviewer makes a LOT of refrences to Explorers of Time and Darkness, but NEVER talks about the Spinda Cafe, which adds a lot more to the game.)

Well, no ♥♥♥♥. Platnium didn't change the entire plot. Pokemon has never had a third edition that completely changed everything.

At this point, I gave up on the reviewer even more. I think they hired the wrong guy, because it seems like, from the whole of the review, that the guy doesn't like these type of games. So why the hell did he review it? At least give the review to someone who likes the genre, so not only it has a fair chance, but it wouldn't sound like the opposite of what it is.

Hell, I'm just going to shut up. Just look at the comments people made, and the fact that the community have almost put this game as a 9/10 in total...

7 - 7.9 = we didn't get paid
0 - 6.9 = it sucks

Even if mystery dungeon happened to be sub-par, (which it isn't, by the way) this score would still be unacceptable. It's way too low to have any kind of credibility.

Is the game still worth picking up despite the fact its a DS game? I have a 3DS xl and the screen size is bothersome for me with ds titles.

Beyond a doubt yes. The game is an amazing dungeon crawling RPG with a fantastic storyline and decent challenge.

10 = Got paid double and/or had sex with a dev, will call people entitled whiners if hey disagree with it
9-9.9 = Got paid, went to dinner with Dev, didn't get laid, will call people entitled whiners if they disagree
8-8.9 = Got paid, didn't went out with the Dev but at least they invited me to the press party, might call people entitled whiners if i feel like it.
7-7.9 = Cheapskates didn't pay me, but invited me to release party, will not care at this point

I dont understand complaining about review companies.
If its not your opinion dont read it, actually this "wannabe funny" tables make me laugh.
If IGN scores like that, why people read their articles even more and complaining?
I dont read IGN articles because i trust in German Review Magazines, much better source then any english one hrhr.

You are right...with emphasis on the word 'some'. Most of them are horrible attempts at being funny. Problem is the comedians don't realize that jokes aren't funny when they are repeated 200,000 times.

Well alot of them are Youth, believe it or not, I said "swag" in place of "cool" a few years ago.....in person.

But yeah, jokes don't really help, when you're make a serious decission.
