Grand Theft Auto V

Needless to say, I am very excited about this game. Played a ton on Xbox 360, upgraded to PC, didn't bother with Xbone, now it's coming out Jan 27 I hear. Here's the topic. Pre order on an outside thing like gamestop or something. Or, Steam hurries up and pre order it from Steam. I am an avid Steam lover, I spend too much time on it already, and I'd hate to have to buy an outside game. But on the other hand, what if Steam doesn't release pre order in time and I miss the chance to get the pre order bonus things? It's like, 1 million dollars in game I believe (I spend a ton on online mode). I just want to know what you guys are planning on doing.

You know what would have caused more damage? A buggy release. They felt that the game needed more work. The game will have a better launch as a result. This is not a "poor" decision.

Naw, I totally get you. It would be worse if they released it buggy, but what pisses me off is the seemingly lack of planning on Rockstar's part - as Razznak said - and all of the "extra content" that they are adding when they could have been working on the base game!

Seems like a lifetime ago that they said it would be coming in Fall 2014...

I did some work in computer programming and what I discovered about it is pretty much "♥♥♥♥ happens". You can be 90 percent of the way through a program and run into a bug that requires you to rewrite 20 percent of your code. It happens all of the time. There are so many variables in game development that it is almost impossible to predict if there will not be an issue during development. It happens. The game requires more work. I would rather them take the time to polish it than just throwing it out there like some other games (Unity).

That being said, a very similar thread was made yesterday. I think Steam would release a preorder maybe a month before it comes out. But to be extra sure, you could pre order it from another place, then cancel it if Steam releases one.

Well you see, in a conversation, people digress. Especially when there are more than one participant in said conversation. So the fact that this conversation is about GTA V, it doesn't mean we can't talk about other things pertaining to GTA V. Such as, wouldn't VR be sweet?

Brought GTA V for the 360, but I never gave it much of a chance. I have been very tempted to buy it for my Xbox One, but I don't fancy playing it at 30FPS.

GTA is good, I like it.

But Saints Row is still better.

Saints Row is fun if you want a game to mess around on. In SR3 you don't feel like a gangster at all, and in the newest Saint's Row it's all a big joke. So GTA is better if you want to be serious. Both are good games that should be given a chance.
