3.5TB free, what do I do with it? (NO PORN, STOP.)

So I have a LOT of space free on my hard drive(s). I have a completely empty 3TB and a 500GB that I'm only using for the OS and programs like VLC and paint.net.

I got the 3TB hard drive for recording videos, etc. But that never took off because I don't have a program to edit and render/compress videos.

HOW DO I FILL THIS THING UP?!?! It's almost impossible for me because I already have a 1TB HDD full of all my games and it's not even 100% full (for games in the future).

Please give me tips and stuff I should get.

It's never a bad idea to back up your data. Though it doesn't make too much sense to make a back up of your data on the same harddrive it's located.

I'm from a frugal time where disk space was precious, so I always uninstall my games to maximize space, even on a large HDD. You could install all of your games if you haven't already.

Generally speaking though, having lots of space on your drive is a good thing but if you are inclined to fill space, I suggest filling it with ebooks.

I already have all of my games installed as stated in the OP, and my OS drive isn't being used either so the best I could backup is the whole OS installation and all my games which is pointless on both accounts...

Where would I go to get ebooks, I don't read books I don't know if that's a good idea but it's something at least. :/

My friend talked about me selling the drive and buying a smaller one (I would buy an SSD). How much could I sell a barely used Seagate Barracuda 3TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache drive for?

That COULD be fun, yeah...but what operating system and no matter which, it's under 50-100GB. I could do that on my 500GB HDD I'm currently using for my main OS...

Download lots and lots of music or movies. Or video games. I also have a 3TB HDD that I bought that I'm using for movies/videos and video games. Have a separate 1TB HDD for music and then a decent sized SSD for the OS and programs.

How do I download music and/or movies? Do you mean piracy? I don't think I'm so much into music to where I'm willing to have literally 500GB of music. Same thing with music.

I've also thought about getting to 3D modelling and making my own games (I've got a few stories written up as well), but I'm not sure that any of that is going to come close to 250GB.

You could buy lots and lots of music and/or movies too. And yeah, I don't think models are going to take up too much space. If you're actually making games (and a decent amount of them) all the assets will probably take up some space. I don't know.

I would much rather just sell the drive and buy an SSD, but no one has answered the question of how much I could get for it.

I just want to know what I could use it for. It's just sitting there for no reason. :/
When you need more space you go buy a new hard drive to get that space, I don't need more space. :/
