good nds game that doesn't necessarily use the second screen
my mom dropped my ds to a puddle and half of my touch screen (the left part) went static and i can't see anything. i still able to touch all of it but i just can't see what I'm touching on the left side of my screen. I've been only playing mario bros, mario kart and pokemon because of it. any more good game recommendations? i also able to play lego batman

it's a ds lite btw

Just get a new DS at that point, they shouldn't be terribly expensive.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any DS games that are truly playable, but here's some recommendations where touch screen use is minimal.

Kingdom Hearts: Recoded. If you can overlook the parts where the game just shifts into another genre (or better yet, like them) then you have a solid action rpg to play with. The touch screen is used in gameplay but only for rotating the camera and there's a button for just centering the camera behind you as well as a lock on.

Some menus are on the touchscreen iirc but you should still be able to just press buttons to navigate them. As for actually seeing them, I can't really help you there. The community documents a lot about the games so with any luck someone may know how to navigate it.

Also the story is a massive nothing burger in the overall plot of the series so don't fret about not understanding what's happening.

KH 358/2 Days is also playable for the same reasons, but it's not very good as its faults are integrated into the core gameplay unlike Recoded which is mechanically solid. I only recommend Days if you have friends to play with.

Another recommendation for you is Bleach Dark Souls. It's a fighting game and touch screen use, at least in gameplay, is minimal from what I recall. There's cards you can use that give you buffs for a short while but it's playable without them.

Last thing I'll recommend you do is explore the GBA's library. You can make the game display on the top screen and completely ignore the touch screen. Without having to worry about how playable something will be, you have the entire library to choose from. My first DS had its top screen crack and be borderline unusable and I used it exclusively as a gameboy advance until I replaced it.

Some specific GBA games to look into would be Megaman Battle Network 3, Sonic Advance, and Metroid Zero Mission.

Check out videos of all of these and see if they look like you can play them.

yeah I'm thinking into getting a new ds, but I'm saving my money for the new switch pro and i don't want to be judge by my parents by buying 2 different nintendo console in a short time lol. and thank you for the game recommendations I'll definitely look into them.

in case someone out there are also looking for it, here's some recommendations i got from other forums:
super mario 64
most racing games (like burnout and asphalt)
metal slug 7
mega man zx
assassin's creed 2:discovery
lego batman
I would have said DQMJ but i don't remember if you need the touch screen i'm pretty sure you can use the buttons for all menus though.
