What's a good horror movie?

I'm not into gorry or demonic horror. I know that leaves a lot out.
I don't mind jumpscares in a horror movie but, I want something that is truly creepy and suspenseful.

I definitely watched too much, it all depends on your Age and what you already watched.

I was once scared by Andromeda as Child, and this isn't even a Horrormovie, currently nothing scares me, but Insidious 1+2 was ok, anyway the psychological flavor of Horrormovies have the Tendency to be more scary than the gory ones... Its probably because if you don't see much, you imagine the Stuff yourself and there is nothing more scary than your own Fantasy, me thinks...

a few of the "nightmare on elm street" movies are simply amazing, but they dont scare the heck out of you, they are just cool, not particular scary but amazing

I thought the title "9" by Tim Burton, Timur Bekmambetov, and directed by Shane Acker was a little creepy, yet good.

Outstanding suggestion. And another vote for The Thing (John Carpenter's version...not the abomination that was the prequel). Not sure if it was mentioned, but the original Halloween by John Carpenter is good, as well. Not gory at all.
