What's a good horror movie?
I'm not into gorry or demonic horror. I know that leaves a lot out.
I don't mind jumpscares in a horror movie but, I want something that is truly creepy and suspenseful.
Thanks!

None they're all to cheesy. Althogh i did take a likeing to the The Conjuring, and Insidious. (the first one, second one blew from what i've heard)

(edit)
At first i didn't see your comment about demonic horror. Honestly there isn't to much of what your looking for out there anymore. (people are losing ambition and only looking for money) However gravity (i know its not horror) is quite gripping and suspenseful and has plenty of gripping moments. Really terrifies you of space.

2 was the best in the series. DAMN YOU, THIEFBOT!

I’ll chase him round Good Hope, and round the Horn, and round the Norway Maelstrom, and round perdition’s flames before I give him up!

This is a very good movie in my opinion. It had me hooked from begining to end. Netflix has it right now. It is an independant movie, but do not let that turn you off. Very good story line, very good writers, and good acting.

It is not so much scary as it is suspenseful. It is not a blood and guts movie, nor is it a TnA movie.

I think some of you didn't notice the OP's comment about not liking gore or demonic films. ;)

Sinister (2012, Ethan Hawke) wasn't bad...it's in the supernatural evil category but it's mostly suspense build-up/jump scare type of a film.
If you like vampires that aren't sparkly, "30 Days of Night" was decent. Has a sort of "The Thing" flavor to it...not that it's really similar or as good, I just mean it has that sort of isolated-people atmosphere.
Frozen (2010) was ok too, although don't look for logic. But once you get past the beginning it's nicely watchable.

Most suspense-horror films that aren't focused on gore/torture/zombies/demons that I've seen were either mediocre low-budget or were less horror and more general entertainment (eg, Poltergeist).
