Schould i be using a Encoder? Soundblaster Recon 3d pro?

So iam paging through my settings trying to figure out whats what lol, iam a complete Noob when it comes to audio so iam hoping you guys can help me out. No Encoder or use Dolby digital live? Iam using SoundBlaster Tactic Fury Headphones with this soundcard- Yeah I know not the best choice but they were only $60 bucks. Iam not using an Optical cable Btw.

If you connect the headset by usb you don't even use the recon 3d.
And if you don't have a dolby-digital enabled decoder that option makes no difference. just disable DD live.

I connected the Headphones directly to the soundcard via Rgb cable or whatever its called.Altough it did come with some kidd of Usb adapter hub ( dont know if I schould be using this or not ) ? As you can see this is my 1st Soundcard always had on-board audio.

U mean Optical cable? What heatset?
That is usually only for when using on Console. If it is USB it dont use any sound card; it has its own sound chip; which is the whole point of USB vs Analog.

Using the Usb elimantes the soundcard?>.......I had no idea. Thanks man/
