One of these days, you and I are going to have to have a light and enjoyable discussion about your choice of bikes.
I like classic and I like small and I like cheap :)
But however since it's near Christmas I changed it to SwissMiss because it is my favorite hot chocolate brand.
Honda CBR 1100 RR. No harm in fast on top of all that, is there? You have not ridden a bike until you have revved the engine to the screaming pitch of a banshee, tearing down the freeway at speeds which practically demonstrate the theory of relativity as cars seem to stop and the terrain flashes by in a blur. Nothing is more classic than speed.
I can identify with that but the risk is higher than I care for, not that running 250cc on a freeway with a small bike isnt filled with risk.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained my friend. Clearly you know the risks of riding a motorcycle as well as I do. People in cars rarely see you, even when they have the common sense to use their damned blinkers.. Amazingly, they somehow also miss the wail of my bike somewhere between listening to music that I can hear outside their vehicle and talking on their damn phones.
So, if you're already taking the risk, why not go for the gusto? Some people stunt. I lack the balance for that excluding anything besides wheelies, so I can see where you're coming from, but if you can be fast, be fast. Just try it once, and you'll see what you've been missing.
Also, I just now realized that I sound like some kid pressuring some other kid into using a drug. Sorry about that. Keep your bike if it suits you. Personally, I prefer a powerful bike like I prefer a powerful horse. There is something to be said for it, but it's not worth risking your life more than you have to.
I actually agree. Its not one is likely to live falling off a bike at 65mpg so why not 110mpg.
When it comes to cars I tend to think they cant not see me peroid, no matter how much I think they should that helps me. I have gone down because a guy couldnt see me because of the sun behind me. I think about that instead of lazyness of drivers which will happen no matter what :)
Motorcycle has given me respect for the road regardless of what I drive with.
