There's other ways to make a game unsellable, simply giving it AO rating would make all major retailer and steam not carry it.

Adult rating is likely what this will be getting. Unless they somehow bribe the people over ESRB. Or if they cry out enough that they are an indie company, meaning most indie companies can just skip ratings all together.

Steam isn't a porn client, it is a gaming client. And if it started allowing adult rated games like that it would be banned by many other countries.

I remember the stink manhunt caused back in the day so this coupled with the spree of school murders and murderers, i dont hold out much hope.

I witnessed death long before the birth of videogames, so to someone like me the notion of a corrupting influence is laughable to say the least. This becomes even more laughable when you consider the junk online already.

Postal was just a laugh like what GTA and saints row is and manhunt was despite the script actually a game and not just some senseless piece of material void of humour.

With all this said though, shooting innocence in a game is besides a pure brief moment of fun often pointless unless theirs a points system or such that works against you if you do which besides a bit of humour is for me anyway the only real point of having it in the first place.

Lastly what about you the player as your character is all but constantly hounded from one end of the game to the other by one maniac after another, i dont see people complaining about you being innocent, about you being attacked unjustly. This is for the want of a better word, two sides of the same coin.

Many fps.Story line wise you can just sit at home eating a tv dinner and playing call of duty instead of joining the army and entering a warzone

Theirs always a reason, it may not translate to you and me but no one unconsciously murders another.

Im glad you brought up COD as war is the archetype of we're innocent with both sides claiming such. Take us verses terrorists, we are the good guys right, the innocent right ?

Our soldiers still get shot and killed.

I would imagine your say its their job and i wouldnt disagree but it doesnt make them any less innocent, any less deserving of life. Our playable AI character is often always a do gooder, an innocent like in COD for instance, or maybe a police officer, freedom fighter,survivor or even a little teenage girl.

To sensor is to blinker the obvious, and will always draw more than it dis-suades even if mindless and short lived.

Honestly I don't like games were you kill civilians, whenever I see someone play a game like Saints Row, or Grand Theft Auto; I can't help but notice how much angrier as a person they get, I'm fine with killing people in a silly way, or if you're just having fun, but I've noticed more and more that it just seems killing is what you do.

Surely there are other people who want everyone to be happy, I know I do......except Obama (jk{Not jk}) It's really odd with this coming from me, I don't actually feel any remorse when I hear about people dying, I think I actually laughed at the Boston Bombings assuming it was a joke, I feel bad about it now, but I think there's a difference between dying, and suffering.
