Games every gamer should play

I want to make a list, of games that any person who calls him/herself gamer should play, or at least, know. Let's not include very known classics, like Mario or Megaman

Portal/Portal 2: These games are one of the most innovative games I've ever seen. The concept and story are simply majestic, and the gameplay is gorgeous.

Pokemon Red/Blue: The games Pokemon conquered the west with. If you ever say you know about Pokemon, you should catch the original 151

Half Life: Old, but an absolute piece of art. Like Portal, it has a wonderful story. Half Life is to story, what Portal is to gameplay.

Fallout: A concept new for its time. A story that not many other games could compete with.

In my opinion, if you want to play good games, these are a few of the gems the gaming industry has to offer. Which games you think every gamer should play?, and why?

All the best games are on Steam, or dead. Here are the bests everyone should try that I can think of. Oh, the best is on the top.

Champions Online (Because you get to make your own superhero, choices from 1,000s of outfits and many different power combinations)

Fable the Lost Chapters )It's old but still good, a lots of magic you can use and you get to be evil if you wanna ;) )

Saints Row The Third (Cool looking city with 100s of outfit to choice from.)
Saints Row IV (Same as the other one but you get superpowers.)

Portal/Portal2 (Both fun games, Portal 2 is better since you can have a friend with you.)

Prototype 2 (Cool powers, and very bloody)

Dragon's Prophet (You get to train your own dragon)

Neverwinter (It's fun a nice world to run around and kill stuff)

Mass Effect/Mass Effect 2 (Cool space game with alot of anliens, and it just pretty cool)

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (It's cool, a lot of magic and you can kill poeple)

Spore (You can make random creatures for fun, or explore the word as a creature you made.)

Dino D Day (YOu can be Dinos, what more you need. Oh and you can play alone with bots)

Gunpoint (I played the demo it pretty fun, you hack the computers and beat up guards.... if you want to))

DLC Quest (It is pretty funny if you read everything, it fun just like Mario.... only for like 7 hours, like Mario :P but not as short as him)

Worms Armageddon (It is a fun game you play with someone and try to kill the worms, you can make a map to)

Iggle Pop! (Your a cute fuzball and your trying to saving all your buddies, it cute and easy.)

Chuzzle (It fun making them sneeze)

Chainz 2 (You match the colors and get a score,)

Feeding Frenzy 2 (you eat fishes, that pretty much all, oh and not die)

POSTAL 2 (Fun, when your evil ;) kill everyone)

Super Meat Boy- See above^
Deadly Premonition- Because the squirrels in that game make stock monkey sounds.

There is one game that is under rated, its Spec Ops The Line, the story line for the game is pretty good.
