What video games do you play just to chill?
I have been playing Minecraft on survival mode just to chill. I didn't even bother with the Wither yet.

As in to relax and sit back? Definitely No Mans Sky
That's a good one too. I need to give it another go. Last I played pirate bounties were all buggy so I was manually editing the save file. Just didn't feel legit.

All/any of my games. What other reason would someone play a game?

Well I didn't play at launch its redeemed itself. Game is excellent. There is a lot to do now in it.

Unpopular opinion, I bought it on launch and liked it then. Fun game, haven't played it in awhile though.

They have added a bunch, almost to a convoluted extent sometimes.

Only thing that kills me is that they went with like, timer gates, for some things which isn't fun and reminds me of a mobile game. No game should have an 18 hour timer. That's ridiculous.

ETS2, ATS, CMS 2021, House Flipper 1 & 2 and tons of farming games.

Funny thing is that most cozy farming games that should make you feel relaxed are actually very stressful because time moves too fast and you are always running around like crazy to get stuff done.
Stardew Valley started that trend and every single game after that feels the need to copy that.
Even if they have game time speed sliders they are never slow enough.
The issue I see with Stardew Valley being so stressful to play for some is because it keeps the same time scale of the Harvest Moon series, but then layers on like three or four times as many gameplay systems as those old games had.

In Harvest Moon, you watered your crops, tended to your animals, and socialized with the townsfolk. That was basically the entire game, start to finish. They never had all the additional side activities, progression system, and long-term, overarching goals like finishing the Community Center and the Museum Collection. You more or less just farmed for farming’s sake; there wasn’t any “greater purpose” to anything you accomplished in your daily routine.

To be fair, though, that does also make Stardew Valley a more engaging experience, for many. I’ve gone back and given my childhood Harvest Moon favorites a go, in recent times, and they feel so empty and basic by comparison.

Starfield, actually.
Same, that or Satisfactory, the feeling from zoning out and watching starships take off and make stuff for you is...nice

Yeah OP, me too, I got two kids and the 2nd grader finally got around to playing Minecraft in survival, the trick was turning on keep inventory, that made him fearless and now were having a nice ol time with it.

That's just cheating.

At least use the Gravestone Mod so you still have to go back, without worrying about them despawning.
