what do you think about Hazbin Hotel?

the pilot and precursor series (helluva boss) made a huge buzz on the internet, so i was genuinely interested when they finally got the show on a mainstream content channel...

the idea of sinner demons being able redeem themselves to fo to heaven sounded interesting with lots of potential for humor...

when im just dissapointed now that the show is released. instead of funny antics about demons learning that friendship is magic it's a war with angels from some reason... and the angels are more evil than the demons... and there are constant songs like every episode some kind of disney movie...

but what do you guys think? can more indie cartoons take off in a similar way?

honestly i do find the meme of one youtuber who made youtube series of music comps and went bankrupt paying some dude to make a 10 min animation self insert with one of the characters from the show extremely hilarious

…I don't, I think more about Helluva Boss and only insofar that one guy I watch for news and politics both likes it and not only is into occultism but has according to his own words made a contract with Stolas. Whom is one of the demons listed in the Ars Goetia, and is an owl who teaches knowledge of astronomy, plants and minerals.

I'm more partial to Dantalian, a duke who is all about books, art and science. In part because that's part of my wheelhouse, in part because one of my favorite anime is Dantalian no Shoka. Which I highly recommend checking out, both for the plot and for the OST.

Even if the full version of Marionette's Yes, Prisoner is somewhere in the ballpark of 7 minutes or so.

i only watch episode one on youtube because it's episode one after all and i get bored. i was about to sleep only to be called name in the scene...

(at least it's not one to one which then i would be dead now)

I watched an episode with my sister, I just thought it was cringe worthy, but not in a good way. I don't know what it is, but not a single joke clicked for me, nor did I like any character in particular, its just not for me I guess.


Same goes for Hell of a Boss or whatever that one's called.

Some of the music was hit or miss for me but it didn’t ruin the show for me, they usually had 2 music pieces per episode so it’s not like they were shoving a song in your face every 5 minutes, other then that idk, the plot kept me entertained enough to keep watching but i expected the show to be more tied around the hotel but it seems more tied to learn about heaven

Adam is not woke let's not go down there, after all he is also the origin of all women as well and all female angels are just as unlikable.

Its just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ writing considering that Adam is supposed to be humble after being pubished so harahly for disobeying god.

Why is he an angel if he's such a horrible person?
What is even the point of dividing hell and heaven if both are ruled by evil people?
