I thought every phone came with a charging cable and outlet adapter... If they don't have the adapter then yes they definitely are screwing the customer.
So long as the adaptor can supply 120W you can charge literally any USB powered device.
Not all chargers are the same, some are USB-A (they still exist), B or C or that silly proprietary Lightning connection crApple embarrassed itself with.
My Samsung works great with the included charger, but that same charger will charge my LG pretty slowly. And the generic fast charger I have charges the LG very very quickly but the Samsung at a below-average rate.
But yeah, eventually they all do charge even if it's slower than it should be.
Really? I thought only Apple did that.
personally I still have almost all of my previous cellphone charger and still find use for them , like powering a small desk lamp or RBG bar.

It all comes down to $$$ on both sides. Cost of including one by the company (some people already have a million chargers or just use wireless) and requiring its own separate purchase to charge just a little more than its worth.
