Smartphone charger
Is there a single good earnest reason to not include the charger in the box, or is it really just an excuse to shag the consumer?

Wait, is this a thing now?
I thought every phone came with a charging cable and outlet adapter... If they don't have the adapter then yes they definitely are screwing the customer.
You already have chargers, right? They're all the same. Just use whatever charger you have and it will charge your new phone.

So long as the adaptor can supply 120W you can charge literally any USB powered device.

Shag the customer. Batteries not included, new from Galoob.

Not all chargers are the same, some are USB-A (they still exist), B or C or that silly proprietary Lightning connection crApple embarrassed itself with.

Actually I have two different phones with two different chargers and both chargers work a lot better on their respective phones.

My Samsung works great with the included charger, but that same charger will charge my LG pretty slowly. And the generic fast charger I have charges the LG very very quickly but the Samsung at a below-average rate.

But yeah, eventually they all do charge even if it's slower than it should be.

B-but... how does making me buy it separately help the environment? 🥺

Mine came with one o.o
It seems a lot of the Chinese-brand phones come with one, but the mainstream brands don't... welp, lesson for next time.

Really? I thought only Apple did that.

the thing is that it's also gonna lead to much more peoples buying third party chargers.

personally I still have almost all of my previous cellphone charger and still find use for them , like powering a small desk lamp or RBG bar.

The latter, some corporations got the motto of profit over literally anything else.

One of my old chargers still works despite the wire looking like it is at it's wit's end.

I never used the charger that came with my samsung. As I bought 2 wireless docks to fast charge my phone.

For some reason my phone came with a charger with a Euro plug so it was useless to me. Chargers are pretty easy to get though so it wasn't a big deal.

$$$

It all comes down to $$$ on both sides. Cost of including one by the company (some people already have a million chargers or just use wireless) and requiring its own separate purchase to charge just a little more than its worth.

Just leave it out in the sun and it will charge that way.
