Is Canada going bankrupt?
I'm starting to hear some scary, although not unsurprising things, over there. Trudolf is a scary but not unsurprising man.

More than half the population are in some form of financial insolvency or debt, and I know they've had problems since the 90s but it seems like the entire country is giving Detroit a run for its money (or lack thereof).

Not yet. Ask again in 5 years. Incompetence takes a little while to set in. :captainsinful:
Morally bankrupt, yes! They cheered for and clapped at, Yaroslav Hunka the SS veteran of ukranian origin, together with Zelenski, inside their parliament, before. They also refused to hand over the nazi to the liberator of humanity form nazism (Russia), as per request. And they sent a large force of mercenaries to help hold the fortress of Antiivka, which were thankfully wiped out (and the city fell).

Poverty can go with dignity. Moral poverty is synonym to indignity, alas...

they have nothing england wants, and thus have a poor economic standing.

despite having maintained good relations with england.

england intimated that it wanted the protectionist measures put in place, and ever the faithful friend canada obliged.

then england dumped them like hot potatoes, having clearly concocted the entire scheme to show everyone that they did not in any way whatsoever value loyalty, least of all from a country that was faithful for hundreds of years.
Our government will give trillions to save Canada.

Yeah, its the same development in my country. We used to be rather good, though not perfect, then people decided change was in order... which I guess it was, problem was the "how" and we have had well over a decade of incompetence behind us now from different governments, both left and right. And its not looking to get any better.

I am not angry at my country. I am just disappointed.
I think they’ve been bankrupt for along time. No internet or paved roads up there. It’s just a grey expanse on US school North America wall maps.
Dude, the entire country of Canada added a net 100 part time jobs in December!

100 part time jobs! Canada is thriving!

https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/canada-jobs-december-1.7073502

Statistics Canada says the total number of jobs in December was virtually unchanged for the month as the unemployment rate held steady at 5.8 per cent.

The agency says the economy added a total of 100 jobs for the final month of the year.

The result came as the number of full-time jobs fell by 23,500 in December, offset by a gain of 23,600 part-time positions in the month.

Thriving!

Don't worry, we(the USA) will just print more $ and give it to Canada.🙃
We're pretty far from bankrupt right now.

The US currently has a debt to GDP ratio of 124.2% while Canada is at only 67.8%, and the US isn't going bankrupt anytime soon either.
