Its purpose is just to keep people pushing the button. They will eventually do anything to be able to push that button. They will watch anything, engage with anything, listen to anything... believe anything, just as long as they are allowed to keep pushing the button.

That's not be facetious... It is exactly what many media companies desperately want to achieve. It's about acquiring willing addicts who will demand to remain addicts. They'll even vote in favor of their chains. Anything... just to be allowed to press that button.

I’m neutral. It’s helpful to me at times to go there while on a quiet 12 hour shift to distract myself and stay awake, but I find the short and loud videos to be too annoying to use the site for entertainment.

There are some interesting channels though and its algorithm is great at selecting videos that I seem interested in.

The downside is I do think that it would be bad for someone’s attention span if they use the app too much.
