I`m looking for a PvE game like Escape from Tarkov, I`m hoping for suggestions.

So far I`ve found Incursion Red River but it`s buggy and the open demo is gonna get taken down on Monday. On top of that the game is probably years from complete.

I`m looking for a semi-realistic looter shooter/escape shooter that is solely a single player or co-op, I`m just not into pvp.

Yeah I`m suprised they came out with it so early considering how buggy the demo. I guess it was a fun demo despite.

I didn`t try gray zone because it`s $65 for the whole game and I got Red River which fills the spot for me even with it`s early access issues. I`ll probably watch it develop from the distance in the meantime.

If you're considering Stalker, which you should, because it's excellent (although, like Metro, it lacks any real extraction mechanic), you should look into Stalker Gamma. It can be a bit of a pain to get it installed, but it's free, and has years of refinement. You just have to join the Discord (which is kind of annoying of you don't usually use it) and everything you need to install it is there.

There is a singleplayer mod for Tarkov. A bit of a hassle to get set up but well worth it. You can also add further mods to change the game. Can even be played in coop with friends.

Really wish BSG would stop being such nazis and give us proper mod support. Tarkov has so much potential. Wasted potential.



Then you got STALKER GAMMA. It's near perfect in my opinion. GAMMA is a mod pack for STALKER. It is absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ brutal. I strongly to NOT recommend this to anyone who is not familiar with STALKER. But at the same time it would make for an interesting way to experience STALKER for the first time.

If you do go for it, for the love of everything PLEASE pick the Loner faction, Cordon as your starting location and the lowest difficulty. Maybe don't even do the "tutorial" quest too early. It's harder than some Souls bosses.
