I've heard, AI is taking over the internet, a large amount of it. Is the internet going to die because of it? Or has AI only taken some things of the internet?

thing is, AI is a means to it's own end.

once the AI absorbs all the human generated content and takes over to the point that humans stop producing content it will run out of fuel (I.E. the human generated content) and just die.

That whole Cyberpunk thing about the Old Internet being taken over by the AI's and then sealed behind a giant firewall AI causing the corpo's to have to create new "Internets" gets eerily uncanny with every passing day.
