Just for reallife activities to me. Except the TV.. :D
why is only the TV in a living room? that is silly for many reasons.
1. I would venture to say that most people spend more time on a computer then they do on a TV.
2. Most people stream TV content via the internet which is a silly way to do it.
I just put my PC in the living room and watch the PC and play games on the PC. Its the most logical place, any other place seems silly.
I've never had a computer in the living room in fact.
Edit: Supposed to be? What? Just imagine 5 computers in the living room lol. Is that a cybercafé?
1. If you're single yes. If you have a partner it will be different. Atleast with a healthy relationship.
2. That's pointless, unrelated to the topic.
I also have a TV in my bedroom if that changes your mind..
I think the furniture aragements in most modern homes needs to catch up to the devices they are using, rather than continuing to do what grandparents would do.
I have a friend who has a 'living room' that literally never gets touched. He has a 'family room' which he watches TV in and complains that his computer is upstairs in the 'study'. I suggest to him to stop being an ass and move the computer to the room you spend most of your time in, that makes sense. He looked at me like I was from Mars.
that is even more insane. You have two TVs and yet I bet if you clocked the hours you do spend more time on computers then you do on TV, regardless of married or not. The floorplan and choices of where to place items in most modern homes are simply stupid.
I've never seen a pc in a living room and i'd never put one in there. But each to there own. I just don't get why you're saying it's 'supposed' to be in the living room
I spend most of my time in my bedroom, so my computer is in my bedroom. That's what you mean? Anyway, as I said, we won't put 5 computers in the living room. First, that's ugly, and second, are personal. My computer is mine so, logically, it's in my bedroom.
Our living room is for watching TV, family meetings, etc.
I don't know, but I think a room just for some computers (an study or something) or a bedroom fits better than the living room.
I dont think you are reading what I am saying.
1. if you clock the hours you spend using a computer, vs clocking the hours you watch TV I am willing to bet you that the end result is that both you and your spouse spend more time using a computer than you do a TV.
Why have two TVs but one PC per person?
In your situation why not just move the bed to the living room?
