Do you think YouTube will ever become obsolete/die?
So just curious as to what you guys think, do you see YouTube still as popular as it is today, i dont mean "Oh in a year or two." i mean like 10 or 20 years from now. Im curious because randomly started thinking about the people who have chosen YouTube as a career that are in their 20s, and if YouTube dies what will they do. Do you think YouTube will be replaced like how Facebook replaced MySpace, not that i used/use either of those services but its show of how something very popular on the internet can change.

As long as the 12 year olds stay on Youtube. It'll be fine.

Most of it's viewers are pre teen/teen kids.

They'll have to find a job like everyone else.

Nothing lasts forever, but that said, I can't think of any company that could realistically dethrone YouTube.

Youtube is still spreading it's territory. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up having control over other streaming webs, for both videos and music.

Unless some other site pops up that manages to grow as large as they have, probably not any time soon.

Such seems to be the life of social media sites though, dont you remember Myspace?
I can't see that happening in the forseeable future. It is still super popular and still growing. It used to be mainly for sharing cool videos with the world and stuff, but now it is a full blown job for some people.

On paper, Facebook is doing better than ever, but as far is popularity, it is declining.

Facebook won't last forever, but it just has too many people on it for anyone to migrate to another service, unlike MySpace.

well google owns youtube and they both are great companies if they were losing money they have a very smart marketing department. They would just sposer channels 12 year olds like.

i dont think youtube will ever " end "
As long as there's no more "vloggers", I don't mind youtube being forever streaming.
