What are the first programs you install on a new computer/Windows?

Simple question. What're some programs that you find to be essential and install immediately on a new computer/Windows install? Not counting things like video drivers or sound drivers, of course.

Here's my list:
Google Chrome
Malwarebytes. Anti-Malware
Winamp
Steam (Obviously.)
CCleaner
Smart Defrag 3
7-Zip
MSI Afterburner/Riva Tuner
HWMonitor
Rainmeter (I hate having a messy desktop.)
DisplayFusion (Very useful for people with multiple monitors.)

And that's all I can think of right now.

Process Explorer
Fraps
Handbrake
MSE (I just use it as it's like 100% integrated into windows and gets rid of most common infections, and just use Malwarebytes or something else to remove anything if there was an infection. I think it's waste of time installing some gigantic norton or avg program and have it catch false alarms most of the time.)

Hm... hard to tell.

Probably Firefox, Putty, MSE, Steam, MPC-HC, PowerDVD, VMWare Player, Acrobat Reader, Flash. Pretty sure I'd dump all these on a new box right away.

I rarely get new boxes, though. Send me one and I'll verify my assumptions :-)

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are a perfect time to buy a new rig or new upgrade parts.

I heard that GNOME is better than KDE. But I like Unity. I love it so much that I made Windows 7 look like it.

I've been using it for ten years now. It's detected most underlying problems, and it has a great firewall. Maybe you've just had bad experiences or with how old it is.

I've been using computers my whole life, and I've used many anti-virueses in that time. And no other anti-virus had the amount of errors or false positives as McAfee. Even the developer himself said it was bad at some point.

Then maybe I'm just lucky.
