-lots of people with XP and Vista;
-lots of people with low-end Nvidia GPUs (they record only Super Mario or PACMAN, so...)
I still use Fraps for taking screenshots though, but recording videos, no matter if using the normal or the shadow recording is so much smoother with Shadowplay than with Fraps. I have absolutely no noticable performance loss while recording, which is absolutely amazing.
Like I said, there's lots of people who meet the requirement using Fraps on Youtube. They often state in the description something like "with Fraps: 4X fps; without Fraps 6X fps". Some even apologize for rugged framerate caused by Fraps. So I am like "Why not just use Shadowplay which has almost zero impact on performance?"
I guess it's what others have said. Fraps have been out there for too long. Some people perfer what they are familiar with.
I myself is interested in recording gameplay, but i'll be getting Playclaw instead. Have used FRAPS before, and i didn't like it that much.
