Why did "Darude - Sandstorm" become a Troll Tool?

I still don't understand why people randomly say "Darude - Sandstorm" I read that it is a song, but why did it become a Troll Tool?

lol Then why the comment? I came up with the phrase "Troll Tool". You know what a troll is right? (If not, it's basically a person who messes with people for the fun of it to earn hatred) So a Troll Tool can be any form of trolling.

Because I like to be informed by people and not a meme dictionary... I was curious give me a break. I know what a troll is but this Darude guy or thing is something more recent...

Fair enough lol.... I don;t get it either. I can't keep up with the internet trends anymore. By the time I figure out what people are talking about they are on something else.
