Hipsters today remind me of the poetry reading, black clothes wearing weirdos of the 60's.
So, it's not really all that hip, unless you calculate the generational return, of which they weren't a part.
They are reliving their parent's lives.
I suppose opening a book and reading about where the world has already been is too mainstream as well.
Well I sure have the Fashion sense of one. Dang nabit.
But luckily my strong Conservativist attitude, and love for Politics (Art degrees are for people who don't know math :3 ) saves the day!
"Literally", no they aren't.
For example the guys at Giantbomb, Gamespot, Polaris, Rev3 and IGN are all hipsters to me.
People I don't see as hipsters include Jason at MetalJesusRocks, Matt Barton, Clint at Lazy Game Reviews, Mark at Classic Game Room etc.
"Ha look at Cuthbert!, he spends all his days reading books instead of working in the textile mills, He gives the appearance of being a Hipster!"
