Dragon Age Inquisition is not PC Friendly
The KB+M controls are atrocious. The minimap is useless. The tactical camera should never be mentioned again. You'll need tape if you plan on being in combat for more than a minute. It's about party tactics... no it's about controlling your character... NO it's about controlling one character while struggling to control the others. Yay, you killed 20 people in a very detailed fortress, have fun spamming SCAN to find any loot. You move with WASD, but the mouse doesn't directly control the camera. To counter this you get a cursor that changes based on what you hover over, but you can't actually interact using the mouse.

The list goes on. Too bad I love Dragon Age and have to now torture myself for 80 hours.

Agree 100%. Very surprised more reviews did not highlight this and ding the score according.

Damn, I was actually thinking about buying this game, but now... maybe not.

Geez .. I just preordered the deluxe digital edition .... I had to, it was screaming for me to. Oooh well .. they might patch it up.

Sounds like nearly all your issues could be solved with plugging in a controller. Therefore it is still PC friendly, just not KB&M friendly.

Well, some of us just hate controllers ... KB&M all the way.

Thats just close-minded. Not all games work well with KB&M, if you want to play throught it fine, get a controller. Its like playing Racing games with KB&M, its not meant for every game.

Well, does it have proper gamepad support? Because it's very easy to plug in a gamepad; PC titles are not limited to just keyboard and mouse.

In fact, a lot of titles have good or great gamepad support. I almost never have to use keyboard/mouse anymore.

I'm scared. So it isn't like Dragon Age: Origins? Or Dragon Age 2 at least?

Besides being superior to gamepads, KB+M was the primary focus of DAO, so it's sad Bioware is screwing us over here.

In terms of gameplay it's like DA2. It is amazing in atmosphere and story, but the controls for PC are very bad.

Clearly not, in this particular case.

Because it was not optimized. The potential is there.

It will get patched ... crosses fingers.

It plays like an average MMORPG.
Its the first game I have ever in my entire life refunded or wanted too on launch day.

So much hype... so little to show for it.
...and no healing spell. I guess biowares making up for everything they ever did right in gaming with one game.
