Why are most people behaving like ♥♥♥♥♥ in the zombie apocalypse?

You can call me naiv, but I never understand why people in post apocalyptic games like The Walking Dead are shown as ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ most of the time, who only think of themselves and are more willing to kill other survivors instead of helping them out. To stay with it The Walking Dead, the show as well as Telltale's game, are full with such moments where I just shook my head and thought" This will never happen like this irl.". For example in the first episode and Telltale's game when you arrive at Macon and Carley rescues you from the zombies by leading you into the phamercy while Lilly is upset about that Carley let other people in and wants to kick you out again to die. And Larry's willingness to kill Duck, a child, because he could be bitten. Or the scene in the TV show when Glenn helps Rick to escape from the tank and when they meet the rest of the group a woman is pointing a gun at Rick and saying that she should kill him for attracting the zombies.

These are such moments where I shake my head and ask me what is wrong with this people. I can understand when you get angry in such a situation, but directly threatening to kill Rick, just because he attracted the zombies by accident? Again, call me naiv, but in my opinion there is no way that this would happen irl. As well as that you don't point a gun at an other survivor and threaten to kill them when you see them for the first time. That's why I stopped watching The Walking Dead after 3 episodes, because I think it was too stupid and unrealistic.

Strangely enough The Walking Dead Survival Instinct makes a far better job to show a, for me more realistic, zombie apocalypse. The other survivors are helping you out most of the time, no one argues with you about minor stuff and most important, no one is going to kill you. That's why I also prefer games like Resident Evil, Dead Rising or Dead Island. In this games most people are actually working together to survive the zombie threat instead of tearing each other appart. I know that you have the one or other psycho in Dead Rising and bandits in Dead Island, but most people are friendly towards you and that's the important thing.

Ok, that went a bit off topic now and I'm sorry for that. Like I said, I don't believe that people will become such ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and cold blooded murderers like shown in The Walking Dead or DayZ and I ask me why they are shown like that most of the time.

The Walking Dead is all about drama and less about action. They have to have bad guys to get more views and likes. DayZ is ran by a bunch of kids that aren't old enough to walk out of a gamestop with M rated games.

Most people will come together in a bad time like that. Of course there will be some bad people, but most of those people planning on being bad will be hit by reality when they realize how hard it is to pull a trigger on another person for no reason.

Then citizens are then left to fend for themselves - it would become a man eats man world to survive in all the confusion and fear. Only small groups would really trust each other and other groups would attempt to leech off the weaker ones to survive themselve.

Your government has escape plans in place already for the most powerful and famous. Since they don't inform the public till the last possible moment - widescale panic and looting is actually reduced. They might just quarantine and could even napalm off entire areas, counting their lost letting none escape, just to stop it spreading.

The US Government even has it's own 'Zombie' plan... however this is secretly more as a protection plan against bio-warfare. They will treat citizens as zombies with a shoot to kill, even when unarmed and screaming.

Seriously though, zombie invasion in almost ANY country will fail. Want proof - look at Britain's colonial history: tiny armies winning battles against the far numerically superior natives. Zombies ain't got no guns, training or tactics; hell, they'd probably freeze or rot away before anyone notices.

I think you are fueled by conspiracy Azza. America doesn't run too different from UK. We just don't have gun laws like them.
And if our leaders plan to kill out every civilian for no reason whatsoever, then they wouldn't be leaders in the first place. Even if they have an escape plan if something takes place. Many other countries go by similar plans for their leader, if ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan. There is a bunker built under the white house where most people over power will go, they will still lead from there.

I hear G. Britain is becoming kinda fat these days. I bet others will follow, if they aren't already. Because, y'know, us Americans are like a virus. You can avoid contagion by sending all your food resources to us, if you like.

As to the zombie thing - well, it's fiction. Conflict is typically necessary, which in fiction often calls for dumb idiot plot devices of all kinds. Also, I think in a worldwide apoc, as ppl realized there were no longer (lawful) repercussions for not being "good" all the time and ready food dwindled, human's would get rather barbaric for a while.
