Loading the "Manage 3d settings" in the NVIDIA control panel takes forever to load.
I remember it loaded quickly in the past, but when I updated my GPU to GTX 750 Ti, it started doing that (I had GT 530 before).

I found a discussion about my issue ( https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/393602/nvidia-control-panel-not-responding-quot-manage-3d-settings-quot-long-wait/ ), but I haven't been able to fix it yet, so if anyone could help me to solve this issue, please comment below.

I wouldn't care about the long loading time, but some older games I want to play (or some games with not that good graphics) look bad and I want to make them look better. And it's really annoying to wait 2 minutes for it to load..

I have noticed a slow down with the 3D settings tab, but as exaggerated as yous. Try reinstall the Nvidia Drivers completely.

Don't that'll help.
So nobody can help me, rite?
Have you tried doing a "fresh" install of the drivers, I think the option is under advanced, when installing

I think I've tried that already. I'll do it again though

Its been this way since the gtx 600 series came out. Every time that is opened, one of my HDDs starts loading from the sound of it.

But I use an SSD for the OS, programs, and only HDDs for games and such. So something is iffy here. Maybe it was back when the Gefore Experience junk was getting rolled out? But even uninstalling that part does not stop this.

:/
Control center will scan for applications when you go into the 3d settings menu.
This behavior has been present for a long time. I have about 8TB of storage on my computer and as soon as I open up 3d settings, the control panel has to scan all of it before I can change anything. This takes a good 5 minutes.
I can't believe this is still the default behavior. I don't care about per app settings. It's awful.

Oh wow....

I remember when it loaded instantly, until I got my GTX 750 Ti
