Its been this way since the gtx 600 series came out. Every time that is opened, one of my HDDs starts loading from the sound of it.
But I use an SSD for the OS, programs, and only HDDs for games and such. So something is iffy here. Maybe it was back when the Gefore Experience junk was getting rolled out? But even uninstalling that part does not stop this.
This behavior has been present for a long time. I have about 8TB of storage on my computer and as soon as I open up 3d settings, the control panel has to scan all of it before I can change anything. This takes a good 5 minutes.
I can't believe this is still the default behavior. I don't care about per app settings. It's awful.
I remember when it loaded instantly, until I got my GTX 750 Ti
