Can hear myself through my headset??

I Have a turtle beach z60 pair of heaphones I can hear myself, i have right clicked on audio and done the mic thing but it still doesnt work. please help

IF you're still wondering. I have z60s also. I've had them since december last year but suddenly i can hear my own voice and after 20 mins of thinking my headset was broken, i tried to hold down the mic mute button on the sound driver thing. By doing so i have now learnt i can toggle the feature on and off.

wtf is the "sound driver thing"? someone pls help

I think they are talking about muting the mic on the software installed with the driver or perhaps in the steam settings.

Best I can suggest without having a set.
