When trying to activate the NVIDIA automatic GPU detection at http://www.nvidia.com/, I get this error message:
"jp2launcher.exe - Application Error

The exception unknown software exception (0x40000015) occurred in the application at location 0x61fed6fd.

Close the application by clicking OK"

I could find my latest GPU driver version manually, but I'd like to figure out what's behind this error message.

Oh and when I go sees the ystem information window in the NVIDIA-control panel, it says my operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, even though I have Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit as my current OS. (same is with http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ It says I have Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Edition (build 7600), 64-bit)

Is there something terribly wrong with the registry or what? I'd be pleased to know what is going on.
