Where do online viruses download to?
I clicked on a minecraft download ad by accident and I am not sure if the website auto downloaded a virus or not,I'm currently running a virus test, but if it did download where would it be located?

In the downloads section.. It just depends on the OS that you use. Windows 7 or 8/8.1

You should know if a file starts downloading. Your computer tends to ask permission, or if it just pops up, it will show a download on the bottom left side of the browser page.

Some viruses can set themselves to autorun after you reset the computer. It's best to make sure that you don't have one.

No as a PC can be told to put it anywhere. A particular favourite for infections is your temp files but it lterally could be anywhere so lets hope its not if you have one planted in your boot as their hell to remove.

Even if your security doesnt find one either it doesnt mean your not infected im sorry to say.

Wrong again as the dean points out and i hope you use more than one security program, especially one you run on a stick or disk so you can isolate the drive.
